It's my first time at Raj! What do I need to know?
Welcome! Please arrive at least 10 minutes prior to your first class so that you can fill out our waiver and we can show you around the studio. To save time you are welcome to register for class through Mindbody (see our full schedule here) and fill out the waiver online. While you may bring your own mat and props, we also offer mats, blankets, bolsters, and blocks free of charge on a first-come, first-serve basis. We have cubbies in the front of the studio that you can leave your belongings in when you take class, and bathrooms and water in the back of the studio.
Do I need to check in for class?
Please check in at the front desk before each class, even if you've signed up online. This helps us keep an accurate tally of the students in each class!
Do you have any special deals for new students?
We have a new client special of 2 weeks of unlimited yoga for $22. If you're curious about trying our variety of classes, we encourage you to take advantage of this deal. This special is available only to new clients who have taken one or less classes at Raj, or students who haven't been to the studio in the previous 6 months.
Can I bring my kids to class?
We love having kids in all classes, including Kundalini classes! We do require children under 18 to be accompanied by an adult, and they will need a waiver filled out by their legal guardian. If your child is being disruptive (such as screaming or crying during a silent meditation) we ask that you be respectful to your fellow students and bring the child outside of the studio. We have special, discounted rates for children that can be purchased at the front desk.
Can I bring food and water into class?
We encourage you to bring a water to class, but we ask that you leave all food in the boutique area and not bring it into the studio. We have Shine Potions, Coconut Water, and bottled water available for purchase after class, as well as snacks.
I've noticed other students wearing turbans and all-white clothing to Kundalini class? Should I wear that too?
You should wear whatever you feel most comfortable in! We don't have any specific dress code at Raj, although we do ask all students to leave their shoes in the cubbies our front. We encourage students to leave their socks off for a more grounding experience. Many Kundalini yoga practitioners chose to wear white to strengthen their auric projection, and cover their heads to contain their energy and strengthen their meditation practice: this is not required to either take a Kundalini Yoga class or to benefit from the practice.
I see you have a membership and class pack options, as well as a drop-in rate. Which one should I sign up for?
We offer a variety of payment options so that you can sign up for the one that's going to fit best into your schedule. If you are coming to class at least twice a week, our $108 monthly membership is the best deal. If you are coming to class once a week or less, a class pack or drop-in is the most economical for you. If you are still confused, feel free to stop by the front desk or call us at (720) 287-3361 and we can help you figure out the best option!
