KUNDALINI YOGA + MEDITATION

Kundalini Yoga is known as "The Yoga of Awareness."  Brought to the United States in the 70s by Yogi Bhajan, it is a dynamic, powerful tool that is designed to give you an experience of your soul.

In Kundalini Yoga we harness the mental, physical, and nervous energies of the body.  This technology precisely and consciously combines breath, postures, and mantra to bring balance to the body, mind, and soul. Kundalini Yoga is a universal and nondenominational practice.  Every class is different, usually following a yoga set for a specific purpose (such as strengthening the nervous system or releasing unresolved traumas) followed by a meditation and deep relaxation.  Many classes will also include a lecture in the beginning and a gong relaxation at the end.

VINYASA YOGA

Come to an all levels flow class where you can expect to meet your neighbor, connect to your breath and your community, and then settle it all down for a seated meditation. This class will leave you awake, aware and empowered.


SACRED FLOW WITH LIVE MUSIC

Jeanie Manchester created Sacred Flow, her signature vinyasa classes rooted in meditation, bhakti chant, storytelling, mantra, mudra, meditation and the art of living a daily practice on and off the mat. Her students love her heart-based, friendly style of intuitive mentoring and teaching.


MEDITATION + GONG RELAXATION

This hour long class starts with a short, gentle warm-up of stretching yoga exercises and pranayama (breathwork) to get body comfortable and ready for meditate. Then the teacher will lead the class in a 11 minute Kundalini meditation based on the teachings of Yogi Bhajan. Class ends with a 20-30 minutes gong bath relaxation to integrate the meditation and relax and restore the body, mind and spirit.

 

YOGA FOR HEALTHY JOINTS

Are you that person who has told yourself "I’m too tight to do yoga", "I’m too old for yoga" or "I can’t do yoga"? This is the class for you! Experience the gentle and deep therapeutic benefits of postures designed for joint health and mobility. This class is a carefully crafted flow combining many of the sequences taught in the Kaiut Yoga system with other forms of therapeutic movement. The poses in this class are accessible to every person with the use of props and modifications. They are done both actively and passively on the floor, designed for all range of motion and physical limitation. You will leave feeling refreshed and renewed!


KAIUT YOGA

The Kaiut Yoga method uses timeless yoga postures and applies them to our modern lifestyles. In this class, you will approach your joints with gentle awareness and focused healing pressure, revealing and resolving tensions and restrictions in the body as well as the mind. Through gravity and relaxation, the effects of the poses reach deeply into the nervous system, circulatory system, and lymphatic system. 

Through continual practice, Kaiut Yoga methodically conditions, strengthens, softens and heals the body.
